March 2027. The property completes a light renovation within 2026, so all 2027 dates are confirmed after final inspection. We take reservations and partnership conversations now — but we are not open for individual stays through the end of 2026.

Not for a stay, no. Between now and December the property is being renovated. What we can do now is hold a provisional place for 2027 and talk through what you'd want.

Three to four months is comfortable for an open programme. For a private group, six months is better, because we plan teaching around the group.

Yes — 15% off when you reserve 60 days or more ahead. If two of you share a room, the second person pays 85%.

USD 1,980 per person for 5 days and 4 nights; USD 2,780 for 7 days and 6 nights. That includes your room, all meals, all teaching and practice, and transfer from Qiandaohu high-speed rail station. Travel to Qiandao Lake and insurance are not included.

Usually twelve, each in their own room. Up to twenty if some share — our practice hall is built for twenty.

Yes. Beginners are genuinely welcome, and a small group means we can teach at your level. Most groups have a mixture.

No. There are two practice sessions a day, but everything can be done at your own pace, and resting is allowed. People in their seventies have done this comfortably.

Loose clothing, comfortable flat shoes, a layer for early mornings, and a refillable bottle. We provide practice clothing if you'd rather not bring any, and everything else you need is here.

Yes, seasonal and vegetarian, cooked in house. Tell us about allergies or anything you can't eat when you book and we will work around it.

Teaching comes from the lineage of Mr. Li Chuanzhong, sixth-generation inheritor of the Yang-style tradition. Classes are led by his inner-discipline teaching team.

Day-to-day teaching is delivered by the inner-discipline team of his lineage. If a particular session is to be taught by someone specific, we will say so in the programme before you book — we don't use a name to sell a place and then substitute quietly.

Teaching is in Chinese. Tell us your group's language needs when you enquire and we will tell you honestly what language support we can arrange for your dates.

On the shore of Qiandao Lake in Chun'an County, Zhejiang — about two hours by car from central Hangzhou, ten minutes from Qiandaohu high-speed rail station.

Fly to Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, or take the high-speed train from Hangzhou East or West to Qiandaohu Station (about 45 minutes). We collect you from the station.

Yes, throughout. It works. That said, most people find they use it less after the first day.

Yes, if you tell us in advance. The kitchen is small and cooks everything in house, so we need notice.

Yes. Full buy-out is 21 rooms and all the function spaces. Corporate programmes are built around what the group actually needs, so we'll ask questions before quoting.

Yes, for a small number of outside teachers and organisations each year. You run your programme; we provide rooms, meals, practice space and on-site support, and we settle on an agreed rate for rooms and meals. We don't take a share of your course fee. We are selective — we'll want to talk it through first.

Yes, on simple terms: one layer only, no sub-agents, 15% commission on the retail price. Partners quote our published retail price. We only discuss net rates for full buy-out arrangements.

Our cancellation and deposit terms are being finalised for the 2027 season. Write to us and we will tell you exactly what applies to your dates before you pay anything.
